Rafa Nasiri Annual Printmaking Award

Rafa Nasiri Art Studio, Amman-Jordan, takes the pleasure of presenting The 1st Annual Printmaking Award for Young Artists from all Arab countries. The award aims to enhance the art of printmaking in the Arab world and strengthen its value 

The invitation is open to Arab artists all over the world from ages 20-40 years old to submit art works executed during one academic year in 2014.

The award, $1000 (one thousand US Dollars), will be given to the best art work executed in one of the following techniques:

·    Etching, dry point, woodcut, silkscreen, lithograph, or any other modern technique based on the traditional means of printmaking.

·    Monotypes and digitals are excluded.

Participants are requested to send the following by email to

 nasiri.award@gmail.com

- 8-10 high resolution images.

- 20cm 300 dpi jpg, vertical or horizontal,

- works done by the above said techniques.

The final date for submission is on 31^st December 2014. Winner will be announced on

Submitted works will be presented to a jury of renowned Arab printmakers to take decision and announce the awarded artist on 31^st. January 2015.

The winning entry in The Annual Nasiri Printmaking Award for Young Arab Artists will be exhibited in Amman together with selected works by the Jury members.
